A Little background...

Our goal was to gather a pool of professionals who are qualified experts in their fields. Through our screening process and experience requirements, we were able to successfully form a group of experts within their professions. Then, through continued regular interaction with these professionals, we have been able to leverage their knowledge to better serve our clients. PBPA is constantly seeking out experts in new fields that are not currently represented. Our commitment to having only one representative from each field assures our members that they will be respected as the knowledge source for their industry.

In the interest of providing the best quality service to our clients, we make it very clear that no member is under any obligation to refer any other member of PBPA. One of our first projects is a “Concierge Book of Service Providers” that has multiple professionals from similar fields whom we feel exhibit similar levels of competence. Each member publishes and distributes their own Concierge Book; each member is responsible for choosing all the professionals listed within their books.

Over the past 13 years I have been a wealth manager in the Portland/Vancouver area. As a Certified Financial Planner™, so much of what I do with my clients involves professionals from multiple industries. With all of the constant changes that occur in any profession, it would be ludicrous to try to be an expert at all of these. Consequently, in the interest of furthering my understanding of these extremely dynamic fields, I worked together with Ernest Cooper and Cyndi Johnston to form the Professional Business Partners Alliance.

Helping my clients make one of their most important decisions is a serious responsibility, but something that I enjoy doing. That desire to satisfy my clients extends beyond just my field of expertise. Many clients have asked me for recommendations in other professional service areas. To better assist my clients through expanding my industry knowledge, I co-founded PBPA.

Mr. Ernest Cooper CRS, ABR
Several years ago we started a catalog of our trusted vendors to mail to our clients. The catalog originally included real estate related sources, but was expanded to include a list of exceptional Professionals. From this catalog came the idea of forming a group of trusted strong professionals that are specialists in their field. The Professional Business Partners Alliance was formed.
